Michal Nicholas
His Own Brand of Pop

A native of Sydney, Michal has been carving himself a career in the pop arena for the many years. He has performed extensively throughout Sydney, including Foxtel’s channel V, numerous club performances and outdoor concerts such as The Hyde Park Food and Wine Fair and the World Aids Day concert. He has worked in London with renowned UK DJ Wayne G on a remix of his debut single. While in London, Michal headlined the Bank Holiday weekend at Richard Branson’s “Heaven” nightclub. Michal’s evolution as a solo artist has come after many years of nurturing and developing his skills as a member of boy bands and groups. However Michal’s ablility to capture an audience, his unique vocal style and his strong song writing skills made it clear that his was the path of a solo performer.

A respected songwriter, Michal has collaborated with many writers, producers and arrangers over the years. He has written and performed songs for stage productions, short films and advertising campaigns. Michal’s songs are very much melody driven. He has an unashamed pop sensibility and writes with a hook as his main objective. By his own admission, Michal is a selfconfessed love addict. He writes songs about love. Love lost, love found and love unrequitted. He admits to being drawn to emotional love songs, but also relishes in exploring the explosive, rapturous and unburdened celebration of love and life. He writes pop songs. Songs that people can easily relate to.

Michal Nicolas is set to offer audiences his brand of pop. His is a world where love rules. His is a world where commerciality and integrity combine to give you songs that will pull at the heart strings when intended, or uplift and make you wave your hands with joy. Michal Nicolas wants to make you dance, whether with your feet or with your heart.

What the Media have to say...

"Young Mr Nicolas is quite the man about town these days. Larger than life promo banners on Taylor Square, guest performances at the Shift, cover boy for SX, the song, the look. Great stuff."
(Star Observer)
"The upbeat dance rhythm combined with Nicolas' lofty vocals and natural pop sensibilities bring this Billy Ray Martin original into the new millennium. Complete with a selection of remixes, this works as an ideal track to reach young audiences and is destined to be a hit come Mardi Gras next year."
(The Music Network)
"Bump and grind for the sentimental clubber."
