The Lovetones

'Wintertime In Hollywood', the first single of The Lovetones magnificant new album AXIOM is released to radio this month. As infectious as always this tune is sure to hit the airwaves near you soon.

The third album from The Lovetones, AXIOM (YEP009) is rich with accomplished instrumentation and out-there dreamscapes, soaring melodies and lyrics filled with longing, introspection and extrospection. Recorded at Figmont Studios in Hollywood and the Sydney Opera House. Axiom is being released on Yep! Records in Australia, Tee Pee in the US and Cargo in the UK/Europe.

Here's what Todd Jones from www.thetripwire.com has to say ....... "Axiom proves it is a universal truth that The Lovetones create blissful psychadelic pop songs. This album is not as short and simplistic as their debut Be What You Want, but not as stretched out as Meditations. The band has found a wonderful balance in their maturity. The opening cut, 'Navigator' is instantly gratifying, while other standouts include 'Pieces Of Me', 'Say You Will', 'Everybody Hides Away' and 'Wintertime In Hollywood'. The Lovetones continue to satisfy listeners around the globe."

Wintertime In Hollywood released to radio 9 July 2007.
AXIOM (YEP009) is out on Yep! Records through MGM Distribution August 2007. The Lovetones touring nationally in August/September 2007.

Meanwhile, The Lovetones cover of Elvis Costello's Shipbuilding has been licensed by Media Creature in the US for an upcoming compilation, whilst tunes from Be What You Want and Meditations have been featured on this year's series of Network Ten's Big Brother.
