Check It Out Here!

Gary Shearston

“It is the best of all trades, to make songs, and the second best to sing them.” Few do it better than Gary Shearston in a career spanning over five decades. His new double album is par excellence.

Writes Capital News’ Keith Glass; "Gary has here a document that should finally place him in the pantheon of our greatest song commentators."

Bruce Elder from the SMH says "Remarkable! 24 new songs set against a wonderfully rich backdrop of acoustic, slide and electric guitars. Shearston’s songwriting and music have not been blunted by age."

Finally Australian Options suggest "all that remains for this renowned and enduring songman is to take his work on a national tour again." We’re working on that bit – stay tuned!

Look and listen out for Gary Shearston in Capital News, Sydney Morning Herald, Australian Options, Trad & Now, ACMLA, The Land and on ABC Radio National, ABC Darwin, ABC Wollongong, 891 ABC Adelaide, 2GB plus community radio nationwide especially 2CCR, MY105FM Mackay, 96.3 FM Lake Haven, 94One FM, 2WCR, Radio Eastern 98.1, Country Harvest, 3PVR, 2BAR, 3PBS, 4BAY, 5CST, 6MKA, 2LVR, 2BAB, 3INR, 4NSA & Spectrum FM

Gary Shearston is also to be featured soon on SBS TV’s ‘Who Do You Think You Are’.

Listen to this month’s edition of UCM Radio to hear songs from the 2CD release.

Eric Bogle

Eric’s new and possibly last studio album The Dreamer is OUT NOW and is being received to rave reviews with Trad & Now’s Ian Dearden declaring "I believe this CD is up with the best of Eric’s work and as the latest album from one of Australia’s finest songwriters, you should do yourself (and all Australians) a favour, by going and buying a copy, immediately."

The Dreamer is available at retail through MGM Distribution as well as Folk Trax, Trad & Now and directly from Undercover Music via mail order.

Look and listen out for it this month in Trad & Now and on community radio nationwide especially 3WYN FM & Spectrum FM. Eric will be touring nationally to support the release from October.

Rouseabout is also extremely excited about the August release of Eric’s first ever DVD Live at Stonyfell Winery. It’s the first and (he says) last DVD and includes 21 Bogle classics plus additional interview material.

Fans can also now download the best of Bogle’s classic back catalogue Singing The Spirit Home which has been released online through MGM.

SOUNDITOUT launched their self-titled debut EP at last month’s installment of Trashbags to a SOLD OUT Oxford Art Factory with party goers going bonkers when they took to the stage.

3D World describes SOUNDITOUT as ‘in the mould of The Presets, these boys are a serious force to be reckoned with’. goes further Sounditout are in one word brilliant. Their EP is cool and unconventional and their sound is something we've never heard before while The Place declare their debut EP ‘dance release of the month for sure – amazingly high in quality and production’. The addition of live drums & percussion to their live show has rounded off their electronic mayhem perfectly.

Check this month’s edition of Undercover Radio to hear SOUNDITOUT’S remix of The Presets’ ‘Kicking and Screaming’ as well as ‘2 Player Game’ from Infusion’s latest album as well as ‘The Russian’, a radio edit of which will be serviced to media along with an accompanying video directed by Jesse Allan from Auscrew who has previously worked on feature films like ‘Wolverine’ & ‘Australia’.
